The weather is getting warmer and the Muskie fishing in the Kawartha Lakes is heating up! Due to the increase in water temps, the fish seem to have either moved deeper or moved into heavier weed cover for shade and cooler temps. In the morning and evening we’ve been catching fish on shallow weed flats or rock shoals that are close to deep water. Several muskies have been landed as well as a few large Walleyes on Muskie baits. Bucktail spinners and Shadzilla Jr. swimbaits have been the ticket to getting these fish to bite!
