When I’m not guiding during the summer, I’m preparing and competing in bass fishing tournaments across the Kawartha Lakes and Southern Ontario. The first tournaments of the season for me were on Rice Lake and Sturgeon Lake. For the Rice Lake event we caught a full 5 fish limit which weighed 16.38lbs and finished twelve out of 67 teams. The Sturgeon Lake event we had close to the same weight of fish however we were unable to make it back to the weigh-in in time to weigh the fish due to technical difficulties with my batteries which have since been resolved. Most of the fish that we caught during both tournaments were on a ned rig. All smallmouth bass for both events. Looking forward to the next events at the end of July.
